Meet Our Family
This is our family; Tyler, Madelyn, and Milo (oh yeah, and Moose… wherever he went) This picture was taken on the day we finalized Milo’s adoption, so it holds a special place in our hearts. Tyler is the one who draws all of the silly cartoons that you see on this site. Madelyn is the one who does literally everything else. Like seriously, she’s incredible. Milo is the one that keeps us smiling and laughing, and Moose is the snuggler.
Together we love spending time as a family! Whether that’s playing games, going on walks, hanging out with our friends, or exploring all of the cool sites in our area!
It’s great to meet you!
What Are You Doing? And How Did It Get Started?
Tyler loves to draw silly cartoons, whether that is aliens, monsters, spy cats, or anything else! And over the last few years he has made many of those drawings into stickers. In January of this year (2021) he decided to do a little Kickstarter project to sell some of his stickers. The idea was to sell the 100 or so stickers that he already had lying around just to get them out of the house, but the project was featured by Kickstarter, and it gained a lot more traction than any of us expected. As a result he ended up needing to order thousands of extra stickers in order to fulfill all of the pledges... So ironically enough, we now have more stickers lying around our house than we even started with... We decided that we needed to create a sticker shop to continue selling them.
We tried coming up with a name for the sticker shop, but they were all kind of dumb. We finally settled on naming it after our two favorite guys, Moose and Milo. Then that really got us thinking... Sure we can sell stickers, but what if we do more than that? What if we create a community that can help support something that we are very passionate about; adoption!
With that in mind we started talking about what we could do. We decided that we could make some comics about Moose adjusting to having a new roommate around as a fun way to talk about adoption. We also thought we could share somethings about our experience that might be able to help other couples that are wanting to pursue adoption, or connect with parents who are considering placing their baby for adoption. And of course, we will still be trying to clean out these stickers from our house with all of the proceeds going to support adoption.
"And that was the moment Moose realized that this new living arrangement wouldn’t be so bad after all."
